Maki displays a high aptitude for tax concerns and litigation—advisory, administrative tax work, rulings and treaties, refunds and assessments, and practice before the Bureau of Internal Revenue. His attention to detail and responsiveness to clients make him effective and reliable in litigation, labor and corporate practice.

Maki also handles tax refund cases pending before the Court of Tax Appeals, and assists as assistant corporate secretary in several companies.

Maki has published an article in Renewable Energy Law and Policy Review (Volume 7, Issue 2, Series of 2016, pp. 122-132) entitled “Regulatory Framework on the Registration of and Tax Incentives Available to Solar Energy Projects in the Philippines.
